Scholarships
Southeast
offers a limited number of scholarships, dependent upon funding provided by
private organizations and individuals. The qualifications, deadlines,
application forms, and amounts vary with each scholarship. Information
regarding scholarships is distributed as it is received. Scholarships that
have been offered in the past include:

Hatterscheidt Foundation, Inc. Educational
Scholarships - Three (3) $1,000 scholarships are awarded to new students for
their first year of attendance. The applicant must be a

Titze Midtown Sertoma
Scholarship – Five (5) $100 scholarships were awarded to student
organization members during the 1996-97 school year
to help with the cost of books. Awards are made based on the completed
application form, grade point average, financial need, and recommendations.
Priority is given to students with hearing impairments.

Business Women's Association offers scholarships through various local
chapters.

• Eastman
Kodak Scholarship – A $500 scholarship and a plaque is awarded to one
student in Nuclear Medicine Technology and to one student in Cardiovascular
Technology based on academic achievement, professional commitment and
financial need. Awarded for second year of study.
• General
Electric Scholarship – A $500 scholarship and a plaque is awarded to a
student in Nuclear Medicine Technology based on the submission of a scientific
paper relating to instrumentation used in Nuclear Medicine. Awarded
for second year of study.

Ervin F. Armfield/CCL Label
– A $250 scholarship is awarded annually to a STI student who wishes to
further his/her education in pursuit of a printing/ graphic arts career.
• Noontime
Sertoma Scholarship – Five $100 scholarships
were awarded during the 1996-97 spring semester to help with the cost of
books. Awards are based on grade point average, financial need and
recommendations. The applicant must be a member of VICA.

• Robert
W. Best Scholarship – A $500 award is given to a current year Sioux
Falls high school graduate attending STI. The student must have earned at
least a "C" average while in high school and must demonstrate
financial need.
• Roger
Swier Memorial Scholarship – One $250 award
is made to an outstanding second year Electronics student. The award is based
on academic achievement and financial need.
• Spirit
of Sioux Falls – This $2500 scholarship is for Sioux Falls students who
attend either a public or private college or university which is either
located within the City of Sioux Falls or which maintains a physical presence
within the City of Sioux Falls and is accredited by the North Central
Association of Colleges and Schools. Eligible students will be completing
their second year of post secondary education (first year for technical
institute).
Other scholarships are
available from time to time and are advertised within the school.
